The 30th annual Candlelight Walk took place Dec. 1 on Washington Avenue in downtown Golden. People gathered atop the hill by the Foothills Art Center, to light candles and carol their way down the street, and across the Washington Street bridge, where Mayor Marjorie Sloan presided over the annual tree lighting along Clear Creek.
Following the tree lighting, a brief fireworks display was launched from the rooftop of the Golden Hotel.
