Letter to the Editor: Cannot legislate morality

In response to “not facing the problem” letter to the editor last week:

There is nothing wrong with the letter writer’s moral compass, however, you cannot legislate morality or the freedom of choice that God gave every man/women according to the Bible. Men and women will have sex to procreate and to satisfy a pleasure center in their brains. Sometime these people don’t make good choices when it comes to birth control in the spur of the moment when their hormones are raging. This problem has been around forever and noting can be legislated will prevent this type of behavior.

The problem with the moral high ground when it comes to abortion is “who would take care of these unwanted babies if they are not aborted?”
