An arborist at heart

I’ve lived in Wheat Ridge for going on two years now.

I was born in New Jersey. I went to school for forestry, but through the program, I learned about arborists, and that sparked an interest.

Before I moved to Denver, I was working doing logistics in an office, but decided I missed being outside and working with my hands.

A college alumni was working as a manager for a tree care company in Denver at the time, and he got a hold of my resume. We did some phone interviews and he took a chance on me. I moved to Colorado in 2012.

Walking the dog and enjoying the mountains

My girlfriend Audrey Young and I met through friends in Denver. She’s originally from Chicago. We love the feel and attitude of Wheat Ridge. It’s laid-back, and we enjoy the smaller community feel. We walk our dog Copper every evening and we enjoy talking with our neighbors and looking at the mountains.

We love going camping near Telluride and Buena Vista, and we try to go see live music when we can.

Forestry Tree Care

We moved to Wheat Ridge because I was seeking to expand my business somewhere that was less urban.

I own and operate Forestry Tree Care. I specialize in the maintenance and pruning of mature trees and removals. Forestry Tree Care started about a year-and-a-half ago, but I’ve been in the industry for nine years.

I work with a team of skilled climbers and groundsmen, and we use these skills to either improve the aesthetics and health of a tree, or in certain cases, remove it properly without damaging property.

An arborist is somebody who holds proper certification to identify and diagnose hazards in people’s trees. I get to work outside and at a new location every day.
