Foothills Art Center 2020 Members’ Show

The 2020 Members’ Show presents over 70 pieces of art, featuring the diverse artistic talents and techniques of FAC’s members. The annual members’ show has been a staple of the FAC calendar since shortly after the center was established in 1968. The selection of artwork is chosen by FAC’s exhibition staff, representing the highest level of craftsmanship in these creative and compelling pieces.

Stories in Concert

7:00 PM
Rocky Mountain Storytelling (RMS), a volunteer-led non-profit organization of storytellers, story listeners, and story lovers will be hosting their annual storytelling concert, "Stories in Concert." The concert begins at 7:00 p.m. and features Donna Washington, an internationally known, multiple award winning storyteller, spoken word recording artist, and author. The storytelling concert is open to the public and targeted to an adult audience (children over age 10 are welcome). Tickets to the concert are $15 each or $55 for families of 4+.

Oslo

A sweeping, historical, and darkly funny play, Oslo tells the surprising true story of the back-channel talks, unlikely friendships, and quiet heroics that led to the Oslo Peace Accords between the Israelis and Palestinians.

Story Seeds Storytelling Conference

Rocky Mountain Storytelling (RMS), a volunteer-led non-profit organization of storytellers, story listeners, and story lovers will once again be hosting their annual “Story Seeds Conference." The conference features a keynote presentation with Donna Washington, an internationally known, multiple award winning storyteller, spoken word recording artist, and author. The conference also includes workshops with Lani Peterson, Cooper Braun, and Jeff Gere and performances by Yvonne Healy, Kate Lutz, Kathy Santopietro Weddel, Larry Holgerson, Karla Huntsman, Lani Petereson, Pam Faro, Evelyn McLane, and Sarah McNeil. The conference schedule of workshops can be found at www.rmstory.org. The conference ticket price includes lunch and tickets to a Friday evening concert and Saturday Evening Story Slam.

Oslo

A sweeping, historical, and darkly funny play, Oslo tells the surprising true story of the back-channel talks, unlikely friendships, and quiet heroics that led to the Oslo Peace Accords between the Israelis and Palestinians.

Story Slam

7:00 PM
Rocky Mountain Storytelling (RMS), a volunteer-led non-profit organization of storytellers, story listeners, and story lovers is hosting their annual Story Slam. The event will include personal and traditional tales on the theme of “luck.” Attendees are invited to bring their best five minute story and RMS will randomly draw storyteller names to perform without notes. A panel of judges will then determine the winner and award a prize. Tickets to the story slam are $15 each or $55 for families of 4+.
