Planting commemorates city's 50th anniversary

Members of the Sustainable Wheat Ridge Committee and guests thelped plant a sycamore tree, May 29, on the soccer field at the Wheat Ridge Recreation Center, 4005 Kipling St. The tree, a London Plane variety, was planted in celebration of 40 years as a Tree City and the city’s 50th anniversary of its founding.
