A bomb threat evacuated the Jefferson County Courthouse and Administration building today.
According to a social media post from the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office, the threat came in through the dispatch center.
Jefferson County Sheriff's Office Public Information Officer Jacki Kelley said the threat was a "non-descript threat directed at the court."
The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office conducted a thorough search with bomp experts and bomb dogs.
The evacuation order was lifted as of approximately 2:20 p.m.
JCSO will continue the investigation in hopes of identifying those responsible.
