Fake call forces evacuation of Thornton Wal-Mart

Thornton police said a fake threat about a suspicious package prompted an evacuation of guests and employees from an area Wal-Mart Dec. 9.
A tweet from the police department announced the findings shortly before 1 p.m.
The store is at East 128th Avenue and Quebec Street. Police cleared the store of employees and shoppers out of an abundance of caution, according to a tweet.
Police dogs checked inside the store and the parking lot befo, Thorntore police announced the all-clear.
"Nothing harmful was found," the tweet read. "Threat made to the store was false."
Troopers from the Colorado State Patrol, deputies from the Adams County Sheriff's Office, Denver police, the Thornton Fire Department and RTD assisted during the incident.
