The new executive director of the Golden Chamber of Commerce is no stranger to the organization — or even the role.

Earlier this month, the chamber announced that Nola Krajewski will be its new executive director. The the position acts as the leader and senior staff person of the organization and manages its activities and staffing.

Krajewski first started with the chamber as a membership representative and has served for the past year as its interim executive director while also serving as the organization’s director of membership. Prior to coming to the chamber, she worked in the nonprofit sector for 14 years.

Dean Valdez, the chairman of the chamber’s board, praised Krajewski’s energy and commitment to the chamber as well as the strong relationships she has built with chamber members and the Golden community.

“Her dedication to the Golden Chamber over the past 5 years is unparalleled, and in her new role she will bring focus to improving our member experience and help the Chamber grow,” he said in a press release.

Krajewski said she is humbled and honored to be chosen for the role and hopes to help the chamber grow while keeping it true to its mission.

“I believe in the power of collaboration and in building relationships and hope to encourage that in our business community through our various activities,” she said. “As we move forward in our 100th anniversary year, membership will continue to be the focus of what we do.”

Krajewski lives in the Golden area with her husband and two young boys.
