Golden Chamber of Commerce hosts annual awards ceremony

The Golden Chamber of Commerce hosted its annual awards ceremony on Feb. 27 at the Table Mountain Inn in downtown Golden.

The ceremony also included a $6,000 donation to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, which were the proceeds from the 2018 Chili Cook Off and Beer Tasting event co-hosted by the Golden Chamber of Commerce and Coors Distributing.

This year, six awards were given out to two businesses, two community organizations/nonprofits and two individuals.

The award recipients are:

Business of the Year

Recipient: Table Mountain Inn

Recognized for: Contributing to the economic vitality of greater Golden.

Golden Civic Award

Recipient: Golden Civic Foundation

Recognized for: Providing exceptional community service and positive contributions to the greater Golden area.

Charlie O’Brian Volunteer Award

Recipient: Volunteers with the Golden Visitors & Information Center

Recognized for: Their selfless contribution of volunteering their time to help the greater Golden community and others.

Golden Young Professional OTY

Recipient: Hunter Wyckoff of Golden Wealth Solutions

Recognized for: His involvement and support of Golden Young Professionals as well as his outstanding leadership of the future leaders of the Golden community.

Chamber Ambassador OTY

Recipient: Christina Estrada of AlphaGraphics

Recognized for: Her outstanding representation of the Golden Chamber of Commerce, its members and the Golden community.

Chairman’s Award

Recipient: MillerCoors

Recognized for: Exceptional service to the Golden community, the community-at-large and the Golden Chamber of Commerce and its members.
