The GoldenTranscript.net website saw record-breaking traffic this year. Here are the top five web stories of the year.

1. Political profiles and results — Online readers were eager for more information when it came to making informed decisions at the ballot box this year, with stories about candidate/ballot information and election results takingseven of the top 10 stories of the year. The top election story of them all was the Election Day uncertainty of whether the Jeffco Public Schools bond would pass or not.

2. Plans to move Free Horizon Montessori into former Pleasant View — The building swap did indeed occur, bringing life to the old elementary school.

3. Family story is face-off of fear and faith — The story of a Golden couple whose twin baby girls, born 9 weeks premature, beat the odds of a rare medical condition.

4. Two Golden restaurants to appear on new TV show — The show What's On the Menu with Michelle Ullmann has taped one season and is seeking a distribution deal.

5. Colorado Classic bringing cycling excitement and road closures — Sometimes it is the basics that are needed the most, like knowing which roads to avoid, or spectate along, for the big race.  Next year's Colorado Classic will shift focus, to become the premiere North American women's pro cycling competition.
