The time to recreate and re-enact history was May 7 at the 16th annual Fort Lupton Heritage Fair at the South Platte Valley Historical Park. The event was a historical timeline with re-enactor camps spanning the Vikings up through the 1800s.  Each group was staffed with individuals who talked about their own special time and places. The lower encampment featured cannon fire to start the even,t at midmorning. For sports fans, there was a vintage base ball game played under the rules of the day.
