Jeffco caucus information for 2016

Caucuses will take place March 1 at various locations. Sign-in begins at 6:15 p.m. and the caucus begins promptly at 7 p.m. To find locations in Jefferson County, visit www.jeffcodems.org for Democrats or www.jeffcorepublicans.com for Republicans.

Democrats will include the presidential race, but Republicans will not. However, other state and local issues will also be discussed.

Anyone is welcome attend a caucus and observe. In order to vote at caucus, a person must be:

- A U.S. citizen at least 18 years of age who is registered to vote

- A resident of your precinct for at least 30 days prior to caucus

- Registered to vote no later than 29 days prior to caucus

- Affiliated with the party holding the caucus by Jan. 4

- Able to attend the caucus in person as proxy voting is not allowed

The state will still hold a primary election June 28.
