As Golden’s only licensed cannabis business, we want to let you know that we welcome hearing from our neighbors at any time. Your feedback, ideas and concerns are important to us as we look to make further investments in our community and our business.
In the short term, we have rebranded to Golden Alternative Medicine to better represent our hometown as we expand the dispensary’s inventory. We now carry a wider variety of flower, edibles and concentrates than ever before. If you are a Medical marijuana card holder, we invite you to come down and see for yourself.
In the long term, change is in the air. Those of you who follow our local City Council meetings know that the cannabis industry has come up in recent discussions, and that council is debating whether to open Golden to a limited number of adult use (“retail”) marijuana stores, and whether to ask voters to approve a special sales tax on retail marijuana.
We humbly ask you to urge City Council to allow Golden Alternative Medicine to add retail sales so that we can continue serving our community, for the city to consider allowing a limited number of additional retail marijuana stores, and for council to refer the marijuana tax question to November’s ballot.
You can reach the entire council at councilcomments@cityofgolden.net or email your representatives directly.
Please reach out to us at any time: goldenam.info@gmail.com.
Aaron Stolz,
Golden Alternative Medicine
