The Colorado Senate passed a bill approving a $40 million from retail marijuana taxes help K-12 capital construction, and help schools damaged by natural disasters rebuild.

The bill provides funding for construction and repair needs prioritizing funding for schools that have been hard hit by declared natural disasters.

The bill will next move to the governor to be signed into law.
