About meI tattoo at Faith Tattoo Gallery in Golden. I’ve been at the shop for two years now.My favorite part about tattooing is putting my own art on somebody’s skin for the rest of their lives. And interacting with new people. My first favorite thing about working in Golden is seeing the mountains every day on my way into work. Also, the people in Golden are very nice and friendly. They’re always appreciative of the artwork I do, and always open to input on their ideas of what they want.I’ve been tattooing for eight years. I’m kind of all over the board — I like some realism and some structured illustrated styles like neo-traditional, traditional and new school. If you were to get a tattoo, make sure to search for an artist who suits your style of art. And don’t bargain-shop because it’s going to last forever. Our saying is: Good tattoos aren’t cheap, and cheap tattoos aren’t good.Getting into the tradeI got into tattooing through an ex-girlfriend. She was getting a tattoo from Maze Garcia at Certified Customs on South Broadway, and she wanted me to be a part of her tattoo. So, Maze allowed me to do part of the shading. He ended up liking what I did, and ended up offering me an apprenticeship. But, I did not take the job — mainly because my girlfriend at the time did not want me to tattoo. Two years went by and we split up, and I moved to Denver to start my apprenticeship. And I’ve been tattooing ever since.Love of skateboardingI tattoo, skateboard and paint. I do a lot of graffiti murals and some airbrush. I love to skateboard. I’ve been skateboarding for 10 years. When I’m not drawing or tattooing, that’s what I’m doing. I’m really excited about the new Ulysses Park being built so close to Faith Tattoo. I’ve seen Team Pain’s blueprints for it, and it’s everything that I would want out of a skate park.Recruiting new ColoradansI’m 26, and I’m a Colorado native. I was born and raised in Arvada. I live in Lakewood now. I’ve lived there for about a year.I have two dogs named Milo and Mia. They’re little Chihuahua mixes. My girlfriend Aly and I have been together for five years. She’s from Albuquerque. We have our own story — we met at a tattoo convention at the Hard Rock Casino in Albuquerque eight years ago. We talked through texting and calling for about three years while going through our own relationships. Then one day, she wanted to come visit, and she stayed with me for two weeks. And then she decided to move out here. She loves Colorado — the people and the outdoors.
