My career
I am a financial representative with Modern Woodmen Fraternal Financial in downtown Golden. We are member-owned and a not-for-profit organization.
I’ve been with Modern Woodmen as a member for over 20 years, and I have been a financial representative for over six years.
I specialize in life insurances for adults and children, investments and savings. I help educate people to make better financial choices. It’s so rewarding when I hear a client say, or write, that they understand their financial choices to protect themselves and their loved ones. They tell me they sleep better at night.
Racing cars or having a fabulous time in the mountains
I’ve lived in Golden for 15 ½ years. I enjoy the friendliness of the people in Golden. It feels like a small hometown, but we’re a big community.
My husband, Jeff, and I have been married since 1998. I married a Colorado native. He grew up in the Lakewood area. We live in Applewood. I love all the trees in our community.
Jeff and I fly fish and hunt together, and hike in the beautiful Colorado mountains. We have a fabulous time hanging out together, and with friends and family.
I am a race car driver and driving instructor. I will race any car you put me in. My race car is a Formula Vee #36.
I race with a group called Rocky Mountain Vintage Racing. We race all over Colorado and some out-of-state races, such as Nebraska and Oklahoma.
Learning race craft improves your skills to be a better racer. I enjoy everything about racing, including the race craft.
Dreams do come true
What I always say is dreams do come true.
I’m originally from Ohio. As a kid, my family and I visited Colorado once a year. I visited my brother and his family, who were living in Lakewood.
My lifelong dream was to live in Colorado. And I moved here July 4, 1995.
Racing has also been my dream ever since I was a little girl. I went to the Indy 500 time trials and race growing up.
My dream of racing cars came true in my 40s. A friend of mine introduced me to racing with RMVR, and I’ve never looked back. My dream comes true every time I get in my car.
