The board heard a presentation from district’s chief financial staff regarding the third quarter financial report.
The report stated the district has increased revenue compared to prior years, through both ownership taxes and state funding. However, the increases are low when compared with the timing of the property tax collection.
The report also showed the district’s expenditures are slightly higher than last year as the district’s retirement program, PERA, costs and the costs associated with the district’s compensation plan increases.
This was the final board meeting of the 2013-2014 school year. The next board of education meeting will be Aug. 21, a time and place have not been announced.
