Inmate dies after being found unresponsive in Jeffco jail

An inmate has died while in custody at the Jefferson County jail, the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office announced on Wednesday.

According to a press release, 29-year-old Abby Angelo was found unresponsive when jail deputies checked on her during scheduled cell checks Monday afternoon. Life saving efforts initiated by deputies and medical staff were unsuccessful. Angelo's death is now being investigated.
