Residents of the Wheat Ridge — Lakewood — Applewood, section of Jeffco, rejoice!
Soon, there will be a few new options for non-national chain dining and coffee in your neighborhood — and it’s been a long time coming.
Gold’s Marketplace, currently nearing the end of a much-needed makeover, has announced Esters Pub will be moving in to offer seasonal menus, artisanal pizza, elevated pub fare, and more than 20 rotating craft beer taps.
This will be the third Esters location in the metro area, joining the Esters OG location in Virginia Village and the OP location in Oneida Park.
“On our six-year anniversary of opening our original location in Virginia Village, we are excited to announce our third location in Wheat Ridge at Gold’s Marketplace,” said Paul Sullivan, owner of Esters. “This diverse, walkable and welcoming community center reflects the energy and neighborhood feel that Esters is a perfect match for, we look forward to contributing to this space as a locally owned, Colorado-proud business.”
Esters will take over the former Davies Chuck Wagon Diner location, opening Spring, 2022.
Gold’s also recently announced the impending arrival of Queen City Collective Coffee to the revamped center. Queen City currently operates in Denver’s Baker neighborhood and the historic Five Points district.
Set to complete major upgrades to the full shopping center in June, Gold’s Marketplace is receiving a full refresh of the surrounding parking lot, upgrades to the landscaping, new wayfinding throughout and a custom crafted neon project sign.
“Gold’s Marketplace is really the ‘gateway to Wheat Ridge’ and we wanted this place to honor all that the city has happening,” said Adam Radcliffe, founder of Outpost Investments. “We’ve begun to gather a collection of tenants that reflect authentic Colorado business owners who will be part of the local community in addition to providing great products and services.”
